Choosing a Roof Style for Your Jacksonville Screenroom

There are many options available when building a custom screen enclosure in your Jacksonville backyard. One topic that is sometimes overlooked is the roof structure. Here are some important factors to take into consideration when choosing your screen design.

Architectural: Look at the style of your existing roof. Which of these styles will flow nicely with your home's roof, keeping any existing lines or angles?

Maintenance: Do you have trees in the area that may drop pine needles or leaves on the screen? A roof with more pitch like a Hip or a Peak may help prevent accumulation.

Planting: Sometimes the screenroom may have its own protected ecosystem - allowing you to plant more tropical species of plants. Take the roof height into consideration if you want to plant larger trees and shrubs within the screen.
